Phoebe Jordan
Queens, NY, United States
I'm a part-time aspiring romance novelist, and a full-time college student studying for my Bachelor’s Degree in English. I read and review romances of almost every subgenre along with some erotic romance, mystery and young adult novels thrown in there at my review blog Talk About My Favorite Authors and have even created a review site called Phoebe Jordan's Reviews so my readers can find out more about me & my reviews and to interact with one another. I have also started my own live podcast show called TAMFA | Phoebe Jordan hosted on Blog Talk Radio. This show is dedicated to everything I love about reading romance & young adult novels. I also hope to have romance & young adult authors live on my show to be interviewed and showcase their books. I plan to write contemporary, historical and paranormal romance when I get my writing career started, which you can find out more about at my official author website.

Good with His Hands by Michelle Pillow
Good With His Hands
By:
Michelle M. Pillow

Photographer Teresa Kelley is on assignment to shoot old ghost towns and desert scenery. What she doesn’t anticipate is that scenery including the delicious Max Draper. The sizzling desert sun isn’t the only thing heating up the abandoned mining town when the hot, muscled and oh-so-sexy mechanic offers to give her a hand. Dusty floorboards and ghost tales aside, Teresa finds herself on the other end of the lens when she and Max are caught in flagrante delicto by an unexpected…assistant.

Riley Beckett doesn’t want anything to do with romance or love. Past hurts and a jaded attitude make Riley a tough nut to crack, but Trace is no quitter. He’s determined to win Riley’s trust and show him what real love means. Persistence pays off when Riley finally begins to thaw and it looks as though “happily” might just meet “ever after”. There’s only one thing standing in their way—the devastating secret Trace is keeping.

This week I have Sara Taney Humphreys on my blog for a written author interview and author guest blog. Today I have Sara guest blogging about her debut novel, The Amoveo Legacy. I've also had the pleasure of chatting with her live on my podcast show on Thursday, January 28th at 8PM to 9:30PM EST so if you want to listen to it you can download it to your computer or iTunes. And don't forget to read my written interview with Sara that I posted this past Tuesday. Now onto Sara's guest blog:

I've been told that I've got moxie. That little extra bit of oomph that pushes us. I'd like to think that's true. I have to say that I've always had a fertile imagination. I can remember playing "Star Trek" when I was just seven or eight. Of course Captain Kirk was my ultimate hero. He'd save me from the Klingons and declare his undying love for me. Sigh. I never said I was a cool kid...just an imaginative kid. I think that's where my love for paranormal romance began. I've always been drawn to the strange and unusual. Since I was very small I can remember being fascinated with ghosts and the afterlife. Ghosts, vampires, werewolves, shifters...all of it intrigue me and mystify me. There is something undeniably sexy about the unknown.

This week I have Sara Taney Humphreys on my blog for a written author interview and author guest blog. Today I had the pleasure of a written interview with Sara that you can all read and enjoy below. I've also had the pleasure of chatting with her live on my podcast show on Thursday, January 28th at 8PM to 9:30PM EST so if you want to listen to it you can download it to your computer or iTunes. And don't forget to come back this Thursday so you can read Sara's very interesting guest blogging about her debut release, The Amoveo Legacy, which I've had the pleasure of reading and reviewing. Now onto my written interview with Sara:

Phoebe Jordan: When did you know that writing romance was going to be the thing that you would do with your life? Which author inspired you to start writing romance?

Sara Taney HumphreysSara Taney Humphreys: I always loved writing but more than anything I love a creative outlet. I’ve been very lucky as I’ve been able to do that through performing and writing. My favorite romance authors are Lori Handeland and Christine Feehan.

Phoebe: Did you know what type of romance you wanted to write about or did you experiment with different genres before you chose the one that you felt was for you?

Sara: I’ve always loved the paranormal. I’m a sci-fi geek at heart. It’s something that I am consistently fascinated by. It’s my desire to learn about the strange and unusual that drives my stories.

Phoebe: What was the first fiction you ever wrote besides any school work? And do you still have it with you?

Sara: The first bit of fiction I wrote was a poem. I know it by heart but wouldn’t share it with anyone because it’s really, really silly. I wrote it as a lovesick fourteen year old….so you can imagine how goofy it is.
