Keta Diablo is one of my favorite erotic romance authors and because I enjoyed her erotic historical romances I thought I would try out her upcoming male/male contemporary erotic romance release. After reading Keta's Crossroads, the first book in her Crossroads series as well as, Crossroads Revisited, which is the second book in her series. I read a very intense and intriguing excerpt on Keta's website that had me wanting to read the novel as soon as possible especially since I loved the first and second book. Now the main character Frank McGuire is an ex-cop turned private investigator after the death of his police partner Quinn Brennan's death. Frank is a very intriguing character who I really loved reading about because he is such a big, strong and handsome man who has a special ability to commune with the dead since he was a child. His relationship with his partner Quinn was very special to him because he was a father figure who took Frank under his wing and made him apart of his own family. Now Rand is Quinn's son, who has had a crush on Frank since even his father's death, and he really wants to have a relationship with Frank but isn't getting it right now. Rand wants Frank to tell him that he loves him and wants to have an open relationship that shows that to him but Frank is not ready for that even though I know that he does love Rand very much. After everything Rand and Frank have gone through in the first book, Crossroads, things really start to heat up for them both in the second book Crossroads Revisited. The third book in the Crossroads series is about to come out in November and I've had the pleasure of receiving an Advanced Readers Copy. In Crossroads Showdown things get more series in Rand and Frank's relationship which is great because I really love them and want them to have their happily ever after since they've been through a lot together. Tough PI, Frank McGuire, attempts to help the FBI locate three abducted children from a small town in West Virginia and this leads for Rand and Frank's relationship with one another to start to change. While channeling his inner spirit for assistance, he mistakenly calls forth a ghost and as Frank races against time to locate the missing girls, he receives help from the most unlikely of sources. To complicate matters, Rand has decided its time Frank commit to their relationship—or run the risk of Rand being gone for good when he returns.

This book is a must have! If you have read Crossroads and loved it as much as I did then you need to get your hands on a copy of Crossroads Revisited now because it is just as good and even better than the first. But that is not the end because Crossroads Showdown will give you a deeper look into the tough PI Frank which some readers have commented is a bit too touch and sometimes seems a bit cruel. In this novel you will see a new side of Frank because he is not a cruel man but someone who has lived a rough life and has been toughen by it. There is suspense in this novel that will keep you guessing about where things will lead Frank in the end as well as what will happen between Frank and Rand who both seem to be coming a bit to terms about where their relationship is heading. I really liked how Frank and Rand have developed in this novel because I really felt that they could have a great relationship with one another if they had a bit more time together so they could feel each other out enough to be comfortable to show their emotional sides. Keta Diablo delivers yet another steamy, hot, sexy and mysterious male/male erotic romance novel that will have you panting as well as making you want more and for the story to never end since you only just get a peek at Frank's new side. I was sad to have finished this novel in less than 6 hours but I just couldn't stop reading it until I found out how things would end for Frank and Rand after getting to see them together after finally trying to make a start on a real relationship. Now that I've read it I hope that Keta will finishing writing up the last novel in the Crossroads series and gives me more about Frank and Rand so I can see if their relationship will make it like I so want it to. I give this book 5 open books:

Keta Diablo is one of my favorite erotic romance authors and because I enjoyed her erotic historical romances I thought I would try out her new male/male contemporary erotic romance. After reading Keta's Crossroads, which is the first book in her three book series, I was both excited and a bit nervous to read her second book in her Crossroads series. Frank McGuire is beginning to think the City has become a melting pot for serial killers because there is yet another maniac who is stalking the streets, only this time the deviant isn't tracking Goth girls, but rather gay college students. Now rumors are surfacing that put Frank's life in jeopardy, and somehow he must protect Rand from the carnage that is about to unfold. What he didn't count on was Rand becoming the killer's next victim after having thought he figured out who was the killer.
This book is a must have! If you have read Crossroads and loved it as much as I did then you need to get your hands on a copy of Crossroads Revisited now because it is just as good and even better than the first. In this novel you will see Frank and Rand's budding relationship start to bloom a bit but not fully yet because Frank still has a lot of emotional baggage that is really getting in the way of his relationship with Rand. There is suspense in this novel that will keep you guessing even though you may think you have found the real killer in the end you get a big surprise. I really fell in love with both Frank and Rand in this novel because I really felt that they could have a great relationship with one another if they had a bit more time together so they could feel each other out enough to be comfortable to show their emotional sides.

Keta Diablo is one of my favorite erotic romance authors and because I enjoyed her erotic historical romances I thought I would try out her new male/male contemporary erotic romance. I've never read a male/male romance or an erotic male/male romance so when I got my hands on a copy of Keta Diablo's Crossroads I was both excited a a bit nervous because it was my first but it won't be my last. Keta really promoted this book well and I was hooked into reading the novel after first seeing the marvelously and colorfully put together cover. I also read a very intense and intriguing excerpt on Keta's website that had me wanting to read the novel as soon as possible.
Quinn also didn't judge Frank for being gay and was very accepting of it even up to his death in Frank's arms in a shooting. Frank put distance between Quinn's family and himself after the funeral because he thought it would be best. So it was a bit of a surprise to Frank when Quinn's widow Emily calls him for help in finding her 22-year-old son Rand who hasn't called or answers any of the messages that her 20-year-old daughter Marlow and her have left him. Frank has had an attraction to Rand since he last saw him at Quinn's funeral five years ago and even though Frank has tried to suppress that attraction it all changes when he finally find Rand. Frank has searched for him in four different billiard places before finding him at the fifth one, which he meets the bartender who gives him very weird vibes. That is when things get really hot and heavy between Frank and Rand, which really sets off the start of their relationship with one another.
There is also a mysterious serial killer called The Black Rail is on the loose during the novel and Frank is recruited to help the police catch and put the killer away for a long time. Keta Diablo delivers a steamy, hot, sexy and mysterious male/male erotic romance novel that will make want more and for the story to never end. I was sad to have finished this novel in less than 4 hours but I just couldn't stop reading it until I found out how things would end for Frank and Rand. Now that I've read it I hope that Keta will maybe write up another story with Frank and Rand so I can see if their relationship will make it like I so want it to. After reading my first male/male erotic romance I want to read more and look forward to reading any more male/male erotic romance by Keta Diablo and other amazing authors. I found out about Alyson Noël through the amazing website/blog called Free Book Friday, that is founded by author Jessica Brody. I'm so glad that I read and even heard the wonderful podcast interview of Jessica and Alyson talking about her first adult novel, Fly me to the Moon and two of her recent released young adult novels Saving Zoë and Cruel Summer. I also recommend that you all listen to it also so you can decide for yourselves if you agree with me about Alyson Noël's experience in writing and adult novel after only writing young adult novels. She recently released a new young adult novel called Evermore, which is the first book in her Immortals series and has hit the New York Times Bestseller list and even had gone into second printing because the first printing sold out. Well I was lucky enough to get to interview Alyson Noël right here on my blog and you should watch out because soon I will be reviewing some of her novels both adult novel and young adult novels as well.
Today I'm going to review her New York Times Bestselling novel Evermore, which is the first book in her new Immortals series. When I first heard of Evermore and read the blurb that Alyson has on her website I immediately thought of Stephenie Meyer's novel Twilight because it sounds so similar. My opinion didn't change that much when I was reading the novel but as I got to read and know more about the characters I could see that they may have similar points. That is where things end because they are totally different series and I know I may get some boos and hisses but I have to say that I totally LOVE, LOVE Alyson Noël's Evermore so much more than Twilight. The novel starts at a point after a horrible accident claims the lives of the main character's family. Sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom can now see people’s auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone’s entire life story by touching them after she wakes up in the hospital with multiple injuries that would take time to heal. That is a lot to handle for Ever after losing her entire family but she has to cope with it since she has the rest of her life ahead of her.
Going out of her way to avoid human contact and suppressing her abilities, she has been branded a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste. Ever has moved to California to live with her only remaining living relative, which is her father's twin sister, a lawyer who has never been married or had any children to raise before. Now Damen is gorgeous, exotic, and wealthy and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and random energy in her head—wielding a magic so intense, it’s as though he can peer straight into her soul. He is a captivating young man who has brought many new feelings to surface in Ever that are really getting to her since she hasn't been living until Damen came into her life. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she’s left with more questions than answers. And she has no idea just who he really is—or what he really is. The only thing she knows to be true is that she’s falling deeply and helplessly in love with him and doesn't know if she is comfortable with this new feeling.
I made a lot of comparisons between Evermore and the Twilight series while I was reading this novel and here are some of things I noticed. Though Ever and Bella are about the same age I think that Ever is more mature than Bella is and not at all self-centered. I also liked that though Ever even knew and says that Damen is beautiful at least she doesn't think or say it every other thought link Bella does with Edward. That can get really annoying at times but I was so loving Ever Bloom's love story in this wonderful new series especially since Damen is just as an interesting character as Ever is. Damen is also similar yet so different from Edward as Ever is from Bella and that is what made this series so unique and very fresh. After reading this book I was instantly hooked and I'm so really looking forward to finally getting the second novel in Alyson Noël's Immortal series called Blue Moon because it picks up at a part of Ever's life that is very interesting. Alyson Noël has delivered a deliciously fresh new young adult paranormal series that will be the next new thing that every teen and even adults everywhere hooked and waiting for more about Ever and Damen. This is a keeper and a book that you have to go out and buy right now because if you don't you will be missing out on a great new series. People will be asking if you have been living under a rock if you don't give Evermore a try and that is just not acceptable. I give this book 5 Open Books

Lisa Lane heard about me through erotic romance author Keta Diablo who recommended me to Lisa if she wanted to have her Sci-fi/erotic romance novel reviewed. When I got the e-mail I went to Ravenous Romance to find out more about her novel Lust in Space. I found the blurb for the book very intriguing so I e-mailed Lisa back and we worked out that I would review the novel as well as having an author interview and author guest blog as well. So come back tomorrow because my interview with Lisa Lane will be posted and the author guest blog will be up on Thursday. Captain Nora Bradley has full intention of keeping her relationship with former classmate, and now First Officer, Robert Smith, purely professional. And it is a real shame that they can only have a professional relationship because they seem like they might come to really love one another. When she hires him, the two, along with a crew of top professionals in their fields, embark on a journey into regions of space not yet charted. It's a dangerous yet great opportunity to be able to embark on a journey to uncharted regions of space filled with untold adventures.

Along the way, the crew endures a space flu that puts the entire ship in a fevered frenzy, alien races that change the crews' perceptions of size, compatibility, and companionship, and hitchhiking shape-shifters that will do just about anything to keep their sensuous human forms. All these different situations happen what seems like one right after another and it is really fast passed but so amazing to read. As the crew endures a lot of different emotions, Nora and Robert can't help but profess their love for one another...but can their love survive a mix-up with the shape-shifters, the unexpected takeover of their ship, and intergalactic war? I certainly think so because they seem like strong and single minded people that can do anything they set their minds to. I really loved reading this novel and I couldn't shut down my laptop until I completely finished reading Lust in Space. Nora and Robert are my favorite characters of this novel but I also really enjoyed all the other characters both human and alien that also filled this novel with adventure and excitement.

I've never seen "Star Trek" before though Lisa did mention that she came up with this book and the world that it is set in on that old television show. This is a novel that I recommend to everyone to give a try because if you don't you are totally missing out. Lisa Lane delivers a wonderfully intriguing, suspenseful and highly erotic romance novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more even after the novel ends. Lisa if you are reading this I would really like it if you could write a sequel to Lust in Space because there is so much that I would really enjoy knowing more about in that world especially with Nora and Robert. I give this book 5 Open Books:

I've always been asked what my favorite book is whenever someone finds out that I love reading. I've never been able to answer that questions fully because I've enjoyed all the books I've read and never had one that stood out more than the others. So I usually answer either with "All the books I've read are my favorites" or "There are to many to name." So after reading April Bostic's romance novel A Rose to the Fallen, I think I have finally come up with a definite answer to that question. So from now on my favorite book is A Rose to the Fallen by April Bostic and I will be spreading the word about this book to everyone who asks me that question. With that said I'm guessing you must now know that I absolutely LOVED reading this novel. I'm glad that I found out about April and her self-published paranormal romance through MySpace. It's kinda funny when I think about how I found her and her novel now that I've finished reading A Rose to the Fallen. The hero and heroine sorta found one another through MySpace in the beginning of the novel almost like I found April and her novel. Now I must say one more thing before I get to my review of the novel and that is to "THANK YOU" April Bostic for writing the most wonderfully sexy, emotionally and fascinating novel I have ever had the pleasure of reading in my life.
Now on to my honest review of A Rose to the Fallen the self-published novel that I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing for April. Do soul mates really exist? Is there really another person out there who was born just for you? And are they the only one who can answer your heart’s call? Those are some really intense questions that I really had to think about after finishing this novel. I came to the conclusion that I do believe that soul mates really exist and that they're the only ones that can answer our hearts call because they were born just for us. I don't exactly think it's as intense and full of paranormal accurences like in the novel but I do believe in soul mates. Bridget Monahan, the heorine, is an elementary school teacher, and she’s about to find out that perhaps soul mates do exist. Her heart is on the mend from many failed relationships, so she’s a skeptic when it comes to find love, and the last thing she wants is to be set up on another blind date. Bridget is such a cool and level headed person who believes in what you can see and touch with your eyes and hands. She is also a good girl who has lived practically a safe and totally normals life with two loving parents in Califorina. She does have a wild and party girl best friend named Autumn who I think compliments Bridget so well because they are almost complete opposites.
However, she is introduced to the charming Tristan Hathaway as a blind date set up by her BF Autumn in the beginning of the novel. Bridget has been set up on blind dates by Autumn and they have all turned out to be jerks or totally not someone Bridget could connect with. So at first Bridget isn't sure that she should meet Tristan at all. But when she got to the party at Autumn's house Bridget’s first impression of Tristan is that he reminds her of an angel with a British accent that makes her knees weak. When they begin their passionate romance, Tristan is able to break her defenses that were guarding her heart for so long, and as Bridget allows herself to fall deeper in love with him, she starts to believe that they are soul mates. She isn't all that confident in their intense feelings for one another especially since Tristan is more than any other boyfriend she's ever had in her past. But she also learns that although his beauty is near perfection, he is not without flaws, and there’s more to him than she ever imagined. Tristan may seem perfect on the outside but on the inside he has issues that he hasn't resolved but I think Bridget is the only one who can help him. Not to mention he can seduce her unlike any man she’s ever known and take her mind, body, and soul to a place of sheer ecstasy.
Bridget unexpectedly becomes the student in this magical love affair and her biggest lesson may be that true love and eternity are bound. Reading this novel was so much fun and I can honestly say that I could hardly put this book down for more than 30 minutes since I started it (except when I went to sleep). I devoured this book in 2 days and when I finished reading it I couldn't sleep for hours because I was thinking about all the love, pain, happiness that Bridget and Tristan went through in this book. It was like an exciting rollercoster ride of emotional situations that made the beautiful true love between Bridget and Tristan such a pleasure to read. I don't know how else to describe how I loved reading this book so I'll stop at that and say now that I really recommend this novel to everyone out there no matter if you've read tons of romance novels or you haven't read a single one in your life. You have to go and buy a copy of this novel right now because I think it might really change your opinion on what soul mates and true love is all about. Now that I've finished my review of the book I want to say something else and it is that I really hope that April considers sitting down and writing up another wonderful romance novel. I think she is so talented and that she would be doing everyone a favor by sharing more of her work with the public and maybe with this novel out she could consider going to an agent or a publishing house so she doesn't have to spend money to publish her amazing work. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
