Silhouette Special Edition is one of my favorite line of books and I've have read several of Stella Bagwell's novels and all have been in her series Men of the West. I've only read 4 out of 14 of her books in this series but it hasn't spoiled anything for me thankfully. This is the recent book in the series and one that I enjoyed reading very much because it involved a cute little girl who didn't know about her father until she was almost five years old. Single mom Angie Malone left Christmas wishes to her daughter, after all, Santa couldn’t fix the broken heart Angie’d had since Jubal Jamison married another woman. She had never seen Jubal again…not even to say she was carrying his child but now a miracle might happen for Angie and her little girl, Melanie. With Jubal hired as the vet for the Sandbur Ranch, there was a chance for father and daughter to find each other and with Christmas just around the corner, perhaps Jubal and Angie could finally forgive the past—and become the family they’d always wanted to be.
Angie and Jubal have 11 years separating them in age and is something that has always been a little problem in their relationship. Also they're families have never approved of their relationship because Jubal's family is rich and her's was not so their social standing were very far apart and their relationship is unexceptable. Angie not telling Jubal she was pregnant was an issue between them that very much almost destroyed their renewed budding relationship because Jubal was hurt but so was she. I got a bit emotional while reading this novel because as the outsider reading this story I could understand both of their views on the issue of Melanie's birth and I had to agree that they both were to blame and both chose their own path. That path was the one that they lived with until their very fortunate reunion at the ranch that they both worked at. This novel was a joy to read and I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out because I know there is more novels too come from the hit the author had at the end of the book. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
THE CHRISTMAS SHE’S ALWAYS WANTED $ 4.99 (Book 14)(218 Pages)

Silhouette Special Edition is a line of books that I have read and reviewed often on the blog. It is one line of novels that I have come to love to read and the author that I'm reviewing today is one of my favorites authors. This book is not the first in Victoria Pade's Northbridge Nuptials series because it started before I found about the Silhouette Special Edition line. They are all out-of-print by the time I found out about the Northbridge Nuptials series and you probably won't find the books in the series that I will be reviewing except the last book in the series to date. Hometown Sweetheart is the tenth and latest book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
Neily Pratt is the last of the single Pratt siblings and she is in for a journey to a loving and lasting relationship with an outsider if you will. Neily Pratt’s job was to determine whether her elderly client’s grandson was fit to be her guardian—that’s all. She was not supposed to notice Wyatt Grayson’s outrageous good looks or give in to the powerful—and forbidden—longing he awakened within her almost from the moment they met. Wyatt hadn’t come to Northbridge looking for romance, but how did a man resist temptation when it came in a seductive package like Neily? The beautiful, sexy social worker was making him rethink his solo act, but was Wyatt ready to leave his past behind and take a chance on love? There was only one way to find out and reading about it was such a joy.
Neily and Wyatt have one sizzling first impression on one another and one thing really had an impact on Wyatt when he met Neily for the first time. Neily looked a bit like his dead wife who he still had in his heart even though he had tried to move on with his life. Reading about the death of Wyatt's wife brought tears to my eyes and made me feel so much for Wyatt and his budding relationship with Neily. They make a good couple and they had to struggle with personal issues for both of their pasts but they were made for one another and so in then end they worked things out. When I finished reading the book I knew there was going to be another book in the series because it would be cruel to just leave me hanging like that and I can't wait for it to come out. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
HOMETOWN SWEETHEART $ 4.99 (Book 10)(217 Pages)

They are all out-of-print by the time I found out about the Northbridge Nuptials series and you probably won't find the books in the series that I will be reviewing except the last book in the series to date. The Doctor Next Door is the ninth book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
You have met some of the Perry's and Pratt's in the pervious books in the Northbridge Nuptials series well here are two more to enjoy. As a teenager, Faith Perry couldn’t wait to escape her small Montana town and now, after eleven complicated years away, she was back, determined to figure out where she truly belonged. And it certainly wasn’t with the hard-muscled cowboy with a soft spot for wounded animals. Boone Pratt couldn’t believe his high school crush was back! And when Faith asked him to treat her ailing dog, the still-smitten vet felt the old feelings stir, but he knew Faith’s heart was in the big city. Unless he could get her to realize that their hometown was the ideal place for settling down—together.
Faith and Boone have one amazing love story that I enjoyed very much because I got to read more about the Pratt and Perry family that have made this series so much fun to read. Boone is one sibling of a set of triplets which is pretty cool but he has his own personality that has been dedicated to the caring of animals and Faith is a very city woman who isn't that happy to be in a small town again. They are like complete opposites but they make one hell of a couple with a rocky journey to the discovery of their love for one another. They also have a past that could make or break their new found relationship with one another and that just makes the story so much more enjoyable. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
THE DOCTOR NEXT DOOR $ 4.99 (Book 9)(249 Pages)

Bachelor No More is the eighth book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
The heroine, Mara Pratt, you have met in the previous novel in the Northbridge Nuptials series and now she has her own love story. Only the direst emergency could bring Jared Perry, ther hero of the novel, back to the small town he’d left at eighteen, swearing he’d never return. But he couldn’t turn his back on a family member in trouble and he never expected to find a reason in lovely Mara Pratt for staying. She’d been burned by love before and wasn’t about to risk her heart to a big-city corporate raider, especially one who’d been ready to escape the moment his tailored coat had picked up some country dust. Still, something about Jared made Mara willing to fight for a chance to be together and she’d start by showing him what coming home really meant. There is a some very heavy attraction and tension between Mara and Jared that made this one interesting novel to read. I loved the previous Northbridge Nuptials series books and this one was as good as the reset of them. I was a happy to learn that there would be more Northbridge Nuptials because there are some more Pratt and Perry siblings and cousins that have yet had their own love stories told. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

Hometown Cinderella is the seventh book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
The heroine, Eden Perry, has finally returned to Northbridge since her graduation from high school and still she felt like an ugly duckling when she first stepped into town. Yet her gorgeous transformation impressed her small-town neighbors and not to mention her long-ago crush Cameron Pratt, who is the hero of the novel. And as luck would have it, Cam’s dark good looks had only improved with age and has Eden very attracted to him even though she doesn't want to be. Now forced to work with him on a local investigation, Eden couldn’t slow her racing pulse or control her sweaty palms. But as the intimacy between them grew, could the way she looked on the outside conquer the fears of the vulnerable teenager living inside? I know she can because she is one strong woman who has grown much since she left Northbridge but has to face her past in order to finally be the woman that she really is inside. Cam is the sort of man to help her and to over come his own issues that he has that will help them both be one amazing couple together. I loved the novel and I was happy to find that there were going to be more Northbridge Nuptials series books because there are a lot of Pratt and Perry siblings and relatives that have their own love stories to be told. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

It Takes a Family is the sixth book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
In this novel we meet the hero Luke Walker, a small-town cop, who smelled trouble the moment Karis Pratt, the heroine, arrived on his doorstep claiming the baby girl that she held in her arms was his daughter. But Luke was unconvinced because he had been devasted once before when Karis's sister left town with the daughter she confessed wasn't his. Although his mind and his heart had every reason to be skeptical, Luke soon realized that Karis was nothing like her outragously impulsive sister. From birth, the little girl who could be his daughter had gripped his heart in her tiny fist and wouldn’t let go, but was it possible that these two females could ultimately be his…to have and to hold? Well I know they can because they have spent much time together and have fallen in love with one another even though their was much hurt feelings and past issues holding them both back. Like I've mentioned before I love novels that involve children and I especially love babies because they are so wonderfully cute and Luke's little girl is one amazing child that helped bring Karis and Luke together. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

Silhouette Special Edition is a line of books that I have read and reviewed often on the blog. It is one line of novels that I have come to love to read and the author that I'm reviewing today is one of my favorites authors. She writes both for Silhouette Special Edition and Harlequin Blaze, which is another line that I've read and reviewed often on the blog. Crystal Green is an amazing author and this book is officially the third and last book in her The Suds Club series. The heroine, Jenny Hunter, of this novel we read a bit about in the first and second book but we didn't know much about her until this novel. The hero, Liam McCree, of this novel we also read a bit about in the first and second book too but we didn't know much about him until this novel.
Jenny Hunter is a go-getter business woman who was used to living life on her own terms, and there was little the beautiful, brainy blonde could conquer. But with her career skyrocketing, she’s decided to put love on the back burner—except for a little innocent flirtation with a hunky loner at her neighborhood Laundromat. Jenny is also going through an unexpected health crisis that has left her feeling very insecure of herself but Liam loves her and wants to be there for her no matter what. Although Liam McCree had nursed a crush on Jenny for months, the wannabe Web entrepreneur was convinced he was no match for the woman of his dreams. But Jenny doesn't know about Liam's strong feelings for her and she is unsure of her budding feels for Liam. This novel was definitely more emotional than the last three official Suds Club books but I had a hard time getting through this novel because of all these emotions that Jenny and Liam were going through. It was a great novel that I enjoyed at times and I can recommend to anyone who likes a good cry because I did at one point. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

She writes both for Silhouette Special Edition and Harlequin Blaze, which is another line that I've read and reviewed often on the blog. Crystal Green is an amazing author and this book is officially the second book in her The Suds Club series. The heroine, Mei Webb, of this novel we met in the first book but didn't get to know that well until now because the hero her estranged husband Travis Webb has come back home. Travis almost lost his family but now that he is home he is determined to be the family man Mei and their little girl need. It is also a growing family if Mei's burgeoning belly is any indications even though she's not sure if she should tell Travis about it because he may leave again on one of his firefighter missions.
Mei had never stopped loving Travis, but things had changed when he was off saving the world and now, more than ever, she needed him to be a full-time husband and father. She needed to know once and for all—was he in…or was he out? I have to say that Mei and Travis love story is one that I enjoyed very much because it was so different from what I have read before. I learned much about another culture because Mei's family weren't so happy that she married an American that they hadn't really accepted into the family yet. I love when children are involved in novels and Mei and Travis' little girl is no exception because she made the novel so much more fun to read. I loved this novel very much and I have to say that is one of my favorites of this wonderful series. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

I reviewed The Playboy takes a Wife, which was about the hero of this novel's older brother and he is mentioned in this novel once or twice too.
The hero David Chandler is a desperate man who has walked into the small-town Laundromat with his stainted shirt but it vanished from his mind as soon as he saw the beautiful woman at the center of the Suds Club. The heroine Naomi Shannon isn't looking for love since she is four months pregnant and memories of her failed relationship still stung. Little did she know her new friend Dave wasn’t the regular guy he seemed but is on the run from his life as a New York City captain of industry. David is a big-city tycoon in search of something to fill the void in his heart and meeting Naomi at the Laundromat has changed his life and he is wondering if he has finally found what he was looking for—or would the relationship come out ruined in the wash? I think that David and Naomi are made for one another and their story is one bumpy road of intrigue and it worth reading. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

She writes both for Silhouette Special Edition and Harlequin Blaze, which is another line that I've read and reviewed often on the blog. The hero of the novel Lucas Chandler is a wild child and a wealthy heir playboy who is used to dancing with starlets and socialites until he had to dance at his own wedding. Lucas needs to clean up his playboy image into an upstanding husband for his company which his younger brother has been helping him with. His father has ordered Lucas to settle down responsibly—or else he loses his stake in the family fortune. In comes the heroine the beautiful and mysterious child-care worker Alica Sanchez the woman who he has suddenly married and the little boy that they have both adopted. Yet when the seemingly happy couple went about town, it was easy to see love was blooming. Had the handsome prince found the perfect Cinderella? I think he has even though Lucas and Alica have a bumpy road ahead of them if they want to make their speedy marriage to work. I enjoyed reading this novel and I was excited when I found out that Lucas' younger brother would get his own story. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

Some said the marriage only occurred because Papa Chandler had ordered Lucas to settle down responsibly—or else he loses his stake in the family fortune. Yet when the seemingly happy couple went about town, it was easy to see love was blooming. Had the handsome prince found the perfect Cinderella?

I love to read the Silhouette Special Edition line and Teresa Southwick is an author that I stumbled upon and I really liked. This book is the second book in a series called The Men of Mercy Hospital. I thought the novel was good and at times there were some spots where I just couldn't but it down. Since I finished reading the first novel in the series I was very excited about finding the second book and I knew that no matter what it was going to be a good read. I wasn't wrong because the heroine of the novel Samantha Ryan is one sharp and intelligent woman who is really going to help out the hero of the novel Dr. Mitch Tenney with his bad reputation as a very harsh and straight forward doctor. Mitch and Samantha don't seem like a likely couple because they have completely different personalities and interests.
Mitch and Samantha both have personal issues that are affecting their slowly growing relationship with one another and are preventing them both from going any further in their relationship. Then everything gets more complicated in their relationship when they have unprotected sex and Samantha gets pregnant. I think that this pregnancy pushes them both into thinking about where their relationship with one another is going because whatever they decide to do is going to affect their child one way or another. It is so fascinating to watch both Mitch and Samantha grow individually and together throughout the novel because in the end they both love one another and are meant to have a wonderful family with their unborn child. I can't wait to read the next book in the Men of Mercy Medical series because it only gets better and better with each novel. Here are the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
EXPECTING THE DOCTOR’S BABY $ 4.99 (Book 2)(217 Pages)

HIS BEDSIDE MANNER NEEDED WORK
Mitch Tenney’s reputation preceded him. He was a miracle worker in surgical scrubs, a hunk and a half with riveting blue eyes and a really bad attitude. The dazzling doctor had offended one official too many and was now this close to being fired—unless Samantha Ryan could set him straight.
…OR DID IT?
With Sam’s sunny disposition and powers of persuasion, she was sure she could get Dr. Mitch back on track. But somehow the brooding bachelor got to her instead—body and soul. Now Sam had a baby on the way with a man who had not interest in playing house. What was a good girl to do?

I love to read the Silhouette Special Edition line and Teresa Southwick is an author that I stumbled upon and I really liked. This book is the first book in a series called The Men of Mercy Hospital. I thought the novel was good and at times there were some spots where I just couldn't but it down. The heroine Kate Carpenter is an E.R. nurse at Mercy Medical hospital and she is also the mother of a baby boy whose father doesn't know about him. The hero Joe Morgan is a helicopter pilot and on-duty marine who got Kate pregnant but didn't know about it because he had to leave on a marine mission before Kate found out about her pregnancy. When Joe comes back from his mission because he got seriously hurt and has nightmares from his tramatic experience he goes to Kate's apartment and finds out that he is the father of a healthy baby boy named JT. Kate and Joe have a lot of things to work out with one another because Joe wants to be a father to JT. They both need to learn more about one another if they want to raise a child together but they have issues that may cause them serious trouble. Well I love this novel and I really look forward to reading more about the Men of Mercy Medical because I know that there will be all interesting stories. Here are the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
WHEN A HERO COMES ALONG $ 4.99 (Book 1)(217 Pages)
THE RETURN OF THE FATHER
When Joe Morgan showed up again on Kate Carpenter’s doorstep, the E.R. nurse didn’t know what to think. After Kate had discovered she was pregnant, she’d waited to her from the helicopter pilot and on-duty marine. Nothing. So why would the man who had left without a second glance suddenly return to her life?
Joe wanted to be a father to J.T., and Kate wouldn’t stand in his way. She couldn’t know that during Joe’s harrowing tour of duty, thinking of his son—and of her—had kept him alive. But would the demons of the past prevent Joe from repairing the damage to Kate’s heart—and embracing his family for keeps?

I love Silhouette Special Edition series line because they are always emotional and excellent reads. I love the author Karen Rose Smith because she comes up with amazing novels about characters that really have interesting lives. I love her Daddy in Progress series because it is about three brothers all becoming daddy's when they really didn't think they would. I reviewed the first and second book and now for the third and final book in the series, which is about the middle brother Ben Barclay and his new daddy status. Ben Barclay has never had a one-night-stand before and now he has a unplanned baby to look forward to now that Sierra Girard has reappeared in his life and told him he was going to be a father.
Sierra doesn't expect Ben to be in her life or the life of her child but she knows that it is the only right thing to do to tell him that he was going to be a father. They met at the rehearsal of their best friends wedding and then they has a passionate one-night-stand that Sierra disappeared from before Ben woke up in the morning. Both Ben and Sierra spend time together during and after their friends wedding because Ben wants to be in his child's life and he wants to get to know the mother of his child better. I think that they both fell in love with each other when they were first together but they really didn't know what it was until they starting spending time together and then living with each other after Sierra had a fright with her pregnancy. I really enjoyed the story and it was a very satisfying ending to this wonderful series. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
THE DADDY VERDICT $ 4.99 (Book 3)(219 Pages)
CAN ONE NIGHT LEAD TO A LIFETIME OF LOVE?
By-the-book lawyer Ben Barclay didn’t make mistakes—especially not one-night stand mistakes. So when he learned that his lone reckless act with a beautiful stranger had lasting consequences, he was determined to do the right thing. And that meant marriage.
When Sierra Girard learned she was pregnant she didn’t expect Ben to be part of her life. So she was stunned at his insistence that they be husband and wife—if only for the sake of the baby. But even cautious Sierra couldn’t deny the smoldering embers of attraction that burned bright. It was a fire that could almost be mistaken for true love….

Yesterday I reviewed the first book in the series and today I will be reviewing the second book about the youngest brother Sam Barclay becoming a daddy. Corrie Edwards wants a baby and she has chosen Sam to be that father but the problem is she only wants him for his sperm not to be a father figure in her baby's life. Sam and Corrie have to take this slowly and think about what they are getting into because Corrie doesn't want Sam to marry her or be a father to her child but Sam doesn't think he can only give Corrie his sperm and never be apart of his child's life when it is finally born.
Corrie thought that she would ask Sam for his sperm and he would either say yes and leave her and her child be or say no and she would have to find some other way to finally have the baby that she has always wanted. They have a very strange courtship but they do start to fall in love with each other when they spend time together trying to plan how they would handle this baby plan that Corrie has all mapped out. Sam wants this child with Corrie and he wants to become a permanent part of it's life not just some sperm doner or some weekend dad. In the end they finally understand that they love each other and that their child will have both a loving mother and father to take care and love it when it is finally born. THE DADDY PLAN $ 4.99 (Book 2)(216 Pages)
SHE HAD HER BABY PLANS ALL MAPPED OUT….
Sam Barclay would father her child, and Corrie Edwards would get the baby she always wanted. It sounded like a good plan…until sperm donor Sam decided he wanted to be the daddy fate had once denied him. It was supposed to be strictly a business arrangement. Romance wasn’t on Corrie’s radar. But the closer they came to conception, the more Sam wanted to make things personal. Could he convince Corrie that, together, they had what it took to create the home and family they both craved?

I love Silhouette Special Edition series line because they are always emotional and excellent reads. I love the author Karen Rose Smith because she comes up with amazing novels about characters that really have interesting lives. I love her Daddy in Progress series because it is about three brothers all becoming daddy's when they really didn't think they would. This is the first book in the series and it is about the oldest brother Nathan Barclay. Sara Hobart is the birth mother of his child because Nathan's wife couldn't have children of her own but now she is back in their lives which has been devasted since his wives death.
When they first meet after 5 years it isn't a happy reunion because Sara has no real claim to her son Kyle but she is hoping that Nathan would at least give her the chance to get to know him a bit. But there was one thing they both didn't consider and that was that Kyle might fall in love with Sara and not want her to leave. Nathan and Sara and Kyle seem like a very wonderful family but it can all be ruined if Nathan and Sara don't realize that they need and love each other and not because of Kyle. I enjoyed this novel very much and when I finished it I was really looking forward to reading more about the Barclay family and their daddy status. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
THE DADDY DILEMMA $ 4.99 (Book 1)(250 Pages)
COULD HE BE HER LITTLE BOY?
Six years ago, Sara Hobart helped a childless couple create their own miracle. Now she needed one of her own. All her instincts were telling her she was Kyle Barclay’s birth mother. Only one thing stood in her way: Kyle’s widowed father.
Ever since his wife had died, Nathan had tried to be the best parent he could to five-year-old Kyle. Then this sensual stranger showed up. Legally, Sara had no claim on his son. But how could he keep her from the little boy who already adored her? That went double for Nathan, who was suddenly yearning to go from single dad to devoted family man….
