I love Brenda Joyce's books and this is one of her series that I stumbled upon when I was at Barnes & Nobles looking for new books to buy. The first book that I ever bought of Brenda Joyce was The Conqueror the first book in the de Warenne Dynasty series. I loved it so much that when I found out that there were more books of the delightful de Warenne family I just had to buy them. I loved reading all about the books of the beginning of the de Warenne family that started in 1069 and continued on to the present year in the series of the mid 1800. I have to say that I was very intrigued with this novel when I read it because it had some very intriguing characters that contect with the current de Warenne and O'Neil family. Brenda Joyce is such a talented writer and I have been a loyal fan since I found this novel at the bookstore and I've bought as many of her books as possible.
I love historical romances and I've read all types of them so it was a joy to read this novel for the first time. A childhood trauma has left Lady Blanche Harrington incapable of all emotion, least of all love. Now circumstance demands she marry, and Blanch dreads choosing from her horde of fawning suitors. For one very eligible gentleman has not stepped forward. A war hero and a recluse, Rex de Warenne has long admired Lady Blanche. Though fate and his own dark nature have robbed him of any hope for a kind of future such a lady deserves, Rex is determined to aid her—and keep his feeling to himself. But when their growing friendship leads to a night of shocking passion, Blanche’s newfound memories threaten their fragile love…and Blanche’s very life.
I liked reading this novel because it is about the descendents of Rolfe and Ceidre de Warenne from the book The Conqueror. Blanche and Rex have many issues in this novel that they have to get through in order to finally get together which is wonderful to read because Blanche and Rex are such passionate characters. This novel was alright to read but I wasn't very happy with the heroine Blanche because she wasn't much of a passionate heroine character like the other heroine's in the previous novels. But I liked readint the interaction between Rex and Blanche because those were the times where Blanche started to show the passion that was hidden within her. Both Rex and Blanche had similar things that they had to go through that lead them to be the person that they became but it also made them such a perfect couple together. Throughout the entire novel I was rooting for Blanche and Rex to end happily with one another because they had to struggle through many heartaches to be with one another. I haven't been disappointed by any of her novels in this series or any of her other works and I don't think I ever will because they only get better with each book that comes out. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

Raised as a pirate’s daughter, Amanda Carre has not been tutored in the finer social graces. Alone in the world, she has never depended on anyone, until fate intervenes when Cliff de Warenne rescues her from a mob at her father’s hanging. Now she must set sail for England to find the mother she never knew, and her chaperone is an infamous ladies’ man. The greatest gentleman privateer of his era, Cliff knows honor demands that he see this beautiful wild child to London and into her socialite mother’s arms. He’s aware that Amanda is utterly unprepared for a debut in London’s ton, so his only recourse is to become her guardian and champion her transformation into a lady—and finds her a suitable match. But with every passing moment it becomes harder to deny his jealousy and ire—until Amanda makes her stunning debut, a lady at last. And when his passion is finally released, their love can no longer be denied.
I loved reading this novel because it is about the descendents of Rolfe and Ceidre de Warenne from the book The Conqueror. Amanda and Cliff have many issues in this novel that they have to get through in order to finally get together which is wonderful to read because Amanda and Cliff are such passionate characters. I loved reading this novel very much because the heroine Amanda is such a striking character that has been raised up wildy surrounded by rough and hard pirates who used adult language that no child should hear. Cliff is the type of man that Amanda needs because they both love the sea so much and they have similar qualities that they may never have found until they met. I loved this novel so much more because of Cliff's two illegitimate children Alexi and Ariella because they made the novel very interesting to read. The story behind their births and how Cliff came to raising them is so much apart of Cliff's character that it made the novel so much enjoyable to read. Throughout the entire novel I was rooting for Amanda and Cliff to end happily with one another because they had to struggle through many heartaches to be with one another. I love historical romances and I've read all types of them so it was a joy to read this novel for the first time. Sean O’Neill was once everything to Eleanor de Warenne—but since he disappeared from his ancestral home, there has been no word, and even Eleanor has abandoned hope, promising her hand to another. Then, just days before her wedding, Sean reappears…but the boy who was once her protector is now a stranger, hardened by prison and on the run. Weary and haunted, Sean is shocked to find that little Elle has become the beautiful, desirable Eleanor. Though he refuses to endanger her by pressing his claim, his resolve to stay away is sorely tested by the determination of a woman who will not be forsaken again. And when, in a moment’s passion, Sean steals another man’s bride, it is Eleanor who has the power to steal his heart.
I loved reading this novel because it is about the descendents of Rolfe and Ceidre de Warenne from the book The Conqueror and the descendents of Liam and Katherine O'Neil from the book The Game. It was also enjoyable because we read about the decendents of the de Warenne and O'Neil family again after centuries. Elle and Sean have many issues in this novel that they have to get through in order to finally get together which is wonderful to read because Elle and Sean are such passionate characters. I like novels where there is some interesting history between the hero, Sean, and heroine, Elle, because it is background into their lives when they were younger and seeing how they changed into the adults they are in the present. Especially because Elle and Sean are step-brother and step-sister who didn't exactly hit if off when they first met since Elle was only a small toddler at the time. Throughout the entire novel I was rooting for Elle and Sean to end happily with one another because they had to struggle through many heartaches to be with one another. Lizzie has secretly worshiped the unattainable lord for years. When fortune takes a maddening turn, she is prevented from meeting Tyrell. But now he must risk everything he cherishes in order to triumph at a very treacherous game through heartbreaking deception…and by breaking all the rules.
I loved reading this novel because pirates are so exciting to read about especially since this is an Irish pirate we are talking about. I love the Irish ever since I read my first romance novel by Nora Roberts called Three Fates, which was about three Irish siblings. In this novel I'm excited to finally get to met the couple who are the ancestors of the present O'Neil's which start in the next book The Prize. Liam and Katherine have many issues in this novel that they have to get through in order to finally get together which is wonderful to read because Liam and Katherine are such passionate characters. I love historical romances and I've read all types of them so it was a joy to read this novel for the first time. She is Mary, the beautiful daughter of the Scottish King—and an unwilling prisoner of the Norman invaders. The headstrong princess refuses to reveal her identity—even if it means sacrificing her virtue, but in the arms of a dangerous enemy she discovers a powerful passion and a powerful promise. Brave and battle-hardened Stephen de Warenne is prepared to defend to the death that which is his by right of conquest—including the golden-haired captive who awakens his soul’s most secret yearnings. For theirs is a passion that will not be denied—a magnificent fire that burns hotter and brighter than the blazing flames of war that engulf the land.
I loved reading this novel so much because it has so much drama and conflict between the hero, Stephen, and heroine, Mary, that you can see their passionate love for one another before the characters themselves know it. This reminded me a bit about Stephen's parents Rolfe and Ceidre's love story because they were both on different sides of a racial war and Mary's Scottish family hated the English. It was a bit nostalgic when I was reading it but it was also as or at times more passionate at times between Stephen and Mary because they are at a different time period then Rolfe and Ceidre. Throughout the entire novel I was rooting for Mary and Stephen to end happily with one another because they had to struggle through many heartaches to be with one another. I haven't been disappointed by any of her novels in this series or any of her other works and I don't think I ever will because they only get better with each book that comes out. Like a pagan god, Rolfe the Relentless rode into Castle Aelfgar to claim it as his prize—and Lady Alice as his bride. Rolfe de Warenne is lauded for his bravery in France and in England he was the hated enemy but once ensconced in his new domain, Rolfe became determined to tame the Saxon beauty Ceidre, Alice’s illegitimate sister, whose spirit and sensuality made him risk treason to have her—not Lady Alice—in his bed. Mysterious and seductive, Ceidre was no lady but a spy for the rebel cause of her noble half brothers and she is always refusing to bow to this arrogant warrior who ignited her forbidden passion. She was swept into a dangerous liaison tied to the fate of England and kings and yet with his kisses on her lips, his skillful hands on her body, she would have to struggle not to surrender to.
There were times in this novel where I would have loved to kill Ceidre's half-sister Lady Alice because she was so evil to Ceidre even though Ceidre was always kind to her. Rolfe and Ceidre had their issues because their people were mortal enemies but they got through all that ingrained hatred and fell in love with one another. Throughout the entire novel I was rooting for Rolfe and Ceidre to end happily with one another because they had to struggle through many heartaches to be with one another and the children they had together before they could legitimize them with marriage. Kathleen E. Woodiwis is another author that I stumbled upon on one of my trips to Barnes & Noble looking for new books to buy. I saw this book and I read the description of it and I knew I had to get it because it was everything I loved to read about. I started reading the book but I just couldn't get into it in the beginning for some reason it just seemed to detailed and long winded and it happened again throughout the book. I loved the strong heroine Shanna, she is what I would expect of the type of women of those times should be and not those weak and empty headed that I sometimes read about. I thought that the hero Ruark Beauchamp was a strong and handsome character and someone that really complimented the heroine Shanna. I didn't much like some parts of the novel because it pissed me off a bit but I have to say it did make the story a bit more interesting over all. It was a pretty long story that I again had trouble getting through without skipping a couple of paragraphs trying to get to the good parts of the novel. I'm glad that I didn't put the book down and left it half-way unread because the ending made up for the parts that were too detailed and a bit boring for me. It isn't my favorite of Ms. Woodiwiss but I enjoyed reading it. Here is the description of the book from the cover and a picture:
SHANNA $ 7.99 (666 Pages)

For no iron ever forged can imprison Ruark’s resolute passion. And now hangman’s noose will deny him the ecstasy that is rightfully his.

I was at Barnes & Noble one day to just hang out and read some books to keep me busy during my day off of school. I saw this very interesting blue book that read Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye as the title and so I pulled it out of the bookcase and started reading the back cover with the description of the book. I thought that it was worth giving it a try and I saw that there was a second book right next to the one I pulled out. That was the day that I was hooked on the Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye Mystery series and Victoria Laurie's devoted reader. When I found out that Victoria Laurie was writing another series called M.J. Holliday Ghost Hunter Mysteries series I knew that I had to buy the books especially since M. J. Holliday was mentioned in the 3rd book of the Abby Cooper Series. There are 2 books out so far in this series but there is a 3rd book to be coming out in May of 2009 called Ghouls Just Haunt To Have Fun!
M.J. Holliday was mentioned in the third book of the Abby Cooper series and I thought she was such an interesting character that I was so glad when Laurie announced that M.J. would have her own series. Every school has its bullies, but Northelm Boarding School near Lake Placid, New York, houses a real whopper: a lean, mean, and deadly demonic ghost named Hatchet Jack. M.J.’s good friend Karen has asked her—along with her partners Gilley and handsome Dr. Steven Sable—to send Hatchet Jack back to the portal he came from. With renovations at the school starting in a week, there isn’t much time for ghost hunting. Plus M.J. has to deal with an uncooperative dean, Gilley being paranormally preyed upon, and the tempting Dr. Delicious distracting her. But Hatchet Jack is M.J.’s biggest threat, and with a demonic disturbance of this magnitude she must show no mercy and see to it that Hatchet Jack gets detention for eternity—in hell.
This novel is another one of my favorites because the characters are so much fun to read about, especially M.J. and Gilley and Steven. All three of them have to face a very scary demon and reading about how they handled everything and the very intriguing things going on was fascinating. Gilley is the goofey side-kick who is scared of the ghost that they bust for a living while M.J. is a brave medium who can deal with some very nasty ghosts and ghouls. As for Dr. Steven Sable he is one interesting character who is very interesting in getting to know M.J. better and now in the second book Steven is a business partner and goes or at least helps financially with M.J.'s ghost busting business. I have to say that I can't wait to know more about M.J. and Steven's future relationship because I see them as a very good couple. I also want to see what goes on with Gilley because he is a wimp when it comes to coming in contact with a real ghost that I sometimes have a hard time seeing why he is still in business with M.J. when he cleary would love to do something else. I was glad to learn of the third book coming out because it would continue to feed my new addiction to the M.J. Holliday Ghost Hunter Mysteries series. M.J. Holliday has the gift of communicating with the dead, although sometimes it doesn’t feel like such a great gift—especially when the ghost is wielding an ax.
NO DEMON IS TOO BIG FOR THIS MEDIUM.

M.J. Holliday has two rules, one, she and her partner, Gilley Gillespie, work alone; and two, she doesn’t date clients. But when handsome Dr. Steven Sable needs her help, the specter-spotting sleuth is ready to break both her rules and it seems the hot doc’s grandfather jumped from the roof of the family lodge in an apparent suicide. But Dr. Sable knows in his bones it was foul play, and strange things keep happening at the lodge so he’ll hire M.J. and Gilley—but only if he can come along. Hey, the duo needs the money—and looking at eye candy all weekend doesn’t sound too bad, either, but once they reach the lodge, the three realize they’re dealing with more ghosts than just Grandpa Sable’s. And the spooks keep playing nasty tricks on their human visitors and to the untrained eye, it would appear that ghouls just want to have fun. But M.J. knows they’re communicating their distress—and it’s up to her to figure out why.
This novel is one of my favorites because the characters are so much fun to read about, especially M.J. and Gilley and Steven. Gilley is the goofey side-kick who is scared of the ghost that they bust for a living while M.J. is a brave medium who can deal with some very nasty ghosts and ghouls. As for the new client Dr. Steven Sable he is one interesting character who is very interesting in getting to know M.J. better and not as a hired employee but as a potential lover. I was glad to learn of the second book coming out because it would continue to feed my new addiction to the M.J. Holliday Ghost Hunter Mysteries series. Here is the description of the books from the back cover and pictures:

I love Linda Lael Miller and I have to say that her historical romances are one of the best that I've ever read. The Mojo Sheepshanks Books series is a contemporary romance and I love them and I have to say that she is also a good contemporary romance writer. Mojo Sheepshanks has an unusual name and sees the ghost of her dead ex-husband and all the while is trying to figure out about her real identity. In the last novel Mojo was getting a bit use to seeing ghosts especially since her ex-husband's ghost helped her get through a difficult part of her past that came to bit her in the a$$. Mojo is trying to enjoy her posh new home, but she’d rather be back living over Bad-Ass Bert’s Biker Saloon, where life was simpler. Her sexy cop boyfriend can’t let go of his past, while her wealthy sister is being blackmailed for secrets in hers. And Mojo’s smack in the middle of it all. As murders pile up, Mojo is starting to uncover secrets that even the dead don’t want disturbed. This book also ended with a cliff hanger that I would love to know more about but that won't be happening until Miller writes the next Mojo book which could be a long while. But besides that I loved reading this book because it was one killer adventure after another with a bit of humor and hot love scenes thrown in. This is one series you have to get because it is too good for you to miss out on it. Here is the descriptions of the books from the back cover and pictures:
DEADLY DECEPTIONS $ 7.99 (Book 2)(379 Pages)
New York Times bestselling author Linda Lael Miller is back with reader favorite Mojo Sheepshanks, the irreverent newbie P.I. who finds truth in the strangest places…

The Mojo Sheepshanks Books series is a contemporary romance and I love them and I have to say that she is also a good contemporary romance writer. Mojo Sheepshanks has an unusual name and sees the ghost of her dead ex-husband and all the while is trying to figure out about her real identity. I have bought almost every Linda Lael Miller novel I could get my hands on because she is one amazing romance author that I have loved reading. I also love to read paranormal romances and even though this isn't technically categorized as one it has a paranormal element because the heroine Mojo Sheepshanks can see ghosts. It was interesting to read because I've read similar novels but the person would usually be able to see and talk to ghosts all of their lives but no Mojo. She only after the death of her ex-husband starts to see his ghost and that is a twist that really caught my attention and also her name was an attention grabber from the first time I heard about this book.
She's got an uncanny knack for winning at slots, but her home-sweet-home is Bad-Ass Bert’s Biker Saloon. She’d love to go deep undercover with an irresistibly hot cop, but he’s got baggage as big as his biceps. She’s survived a mysterious tragedy, but Mojo Sheepshanks hasn’t quite figured out who she really is or how to get on with her life. And now the wisecracking Mojo is seeing ghosts—the real, ectoplasmic kind—and turning up baffling clues to her real identity. Suddenly a wealthy man is claiming to be her long-lost uncle…and she’s being shadowed by an ex-con brother with a talent for killer mind games. As Mojo races to finally uncover the facts, she’ll need all her savvy and strange new talent to keep someone from burying her—and the truth—for keeps. Reading this novel the first time was great and reading it the second time was better because I read with a more critical mind and saw that there were things that didn't catch my attention until the second read. The end was a bit of cliff hanger that I'm not always very fond of but it at least caught my attention and told me that Miller was going to write more about Mojo and all the wonderful characters that I read about in this book. I was very excitied when I found out about the next book in the series Deadly Deceptions and I couldn't wait to find out about Mojo's next adventure and her relationhip with her very hot cop. Here is the descriptions of the books from the back cover and pictures:
DEADLY GAMBLE $ 13.95 (Book 1)(409 Pages)(also in mass market paperback for $ 7.99)

I love the Harlequin Blaze line because they are all blazing hot novels that I can't put down once I've started reading reading one. Lori Wilde is a new author to me and this is the third novel in her Perfect Anatomy series. There is a lot of excitement throughout the novel that kept me on my toes just like the first novel and that is something I love when I'm reading. We met Nurse Julie DeMarco in the first two books and this is her own love story and the conclusion to this amazing series that I enjoyed. Hot bodies don’t come any hotter than drop-dead-gorgeous PR whiz Sebastian Black and he has just stepped through the doors of luxurious spa Confidential Rejuvenations to save its shaky public image. But his image is the one that’s causing a stir because suddenly Nurse Julie DeMarco is thinking less about becoming a sex therapist and more about sex.
Julie has been playing The Good Girl her whole life and what she needs is the opportunity to be The Naughty Girl, and Sebastian is just the tasty stud—er, man to make it happen. After all, this is just about superhot sex and Naughty Girls never, ever fall in love with their late-night bed buddies…do they? Well Julie sure does because she isn't a total Naughty Girl because she has always been a Good Girl all her life and it is not easy to change that. Sabastian is a confirmed bachelor that is going to be converted because Julie is the one woman who will be able to get past that block of ice protecting his heart from love and hurt. I had such a wonderful time reading this novel and finally finding out who was sabotaging the Confidential Reguvenations private facility. I was a bit sad to have finished the novel so quickly but I'm happy that things ended with a happy note and everything was figured out. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

Silhouette Special Edition is a line of books that I have read and reviewed often on the blog. It is one line of novels that I have come to love to read and the author that I'm reviewing today is one of my favorites authors. This book is not the first in Victoria Pade's Northbridge Nuptials series because it started before I found about the Silhouette Special Edition line. They are all out-of-print by the time I found out about the Northbridge Nuptials series and you probably won't find the books in the series that I will be reviewing except the last book in the series to date. Hometown Sweetheart is the tenth and latest book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
Neily Pratt is the last of the single Pratt siblings and she is in for a journey to a loving and lasting relationship with an outsider if you will. Neily Pratt’s job was to determine whether her elderly client’s grandson was fit to be her guardian—that’s all. She was not supposed to notice Wyatt Grayson’s outrageous good looks or give in to the powerful—and forbidden—longing he awakened within her almost from the moment they met. Wyatt hadn’t come to Northbridge looking for romance, but how did a man resist temptation when it came in a seductive package like Neily? The beautiful, sexy social worker was making him rethink his solo act, but was Wyatt ready to leave his past behind and take a chance on love? There was only one way to find out and reading about it was such a joy.
Neily and Wyatt have one sizzling first impression on one another and one thing really had an impact on Wyatt when he met Neily for the first time. Neily looked a bit like his dead wife who he still had in his heart even though he had tried to move on with his life. Reading about the death of Wyatt's wife brought tears to my eyes and made me feel so much for Wyatt and his budding relationship with Neily. They make a good couple and they had to struggle with personal issues for both of their pasts but they were made for one another and so in then end they worked things out. When I finished reading the book I knew there was going to be another book in the series because it would be cruel to just leave me hanging like that and I can't wait for it to come out. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
HOMETOWN SWEETHEART $ 4.99 (Book 10)(217 Pages)

They are all out-of-print by the time I found out about the Northbridge Nuptials series and you probably won't find the books in the series that I will be reviewing except the last book in the series to date. The Doctor Next Door is the ninth book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
You have met some of the Perry's and Pratt's in the pervious books in the Northbridge Nuptials series well here are two more to enjoy. As a teenager, Faith Perry couldn’t wait to escape her small Montana town and now, after eleven complicated years away, she was back, determined to figure out where she truly belonged. And it certainly wasn’t with the hard-muscled cowboy with a soft spot for wounded animals. Boone Pratt couldn’t believe his high school crush was back! And when Faith asked him to treat her ailing dog, the still-smitten vet felt the old feelings stir, but he knew Faith’s heart was in the big city. Unless he could get her to realize that their hometown was the ideal place for settling down—together.
Faith and Boone have one amazing love story that I enjoyed very much because I got to read more about the Pratt and Perry family that have made this series so much fun to read. Boone is one sibling of a set of triplets which is pretty cool but he has his own personality that has been dedicated to the caring of animals and Faith is a very city woman who isn't that happy to be in a small town again. They are like complete opposites but they make one hell of a couple with a rocky journey to the discovery of their love for one another. They also have a past that could make or break their new found relationship with one another and that just makes the story so much more enjoyable. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
THE DOCTOR NEXT DOOR $ 4.99 (Book 9)(249 Pages)

Bachelor No More is the eighth book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
The heroine, Mara Pratt, you have met in the previous novel in the Northbridge Nuptials series and now she has her own love story. Only the direst emergency could bring Jared Perry, ther hero of the novel, back to the small town he’d left at eighteen, swearing he’d never return. But he couldn’t turn his back on a family member in trouble and he never expected to find a reason in lovely Mara Pratt for staying. She’d been burned by love before and wasn’t about to risk her heart to a big-city corporate raider, especially one who’d been ready to escape the moment his tailored coat had picked up some country dust. Still, something about Jared made Mara willing to fight for a chance to be together and she’d start by showing him what coming home really meant. There is a some very heavy attraction and tension between Mara and Jared that made this one interesting novel to read. I loved the previous Northbridge Nuptials series books and this one was as good as the reset of them. I was a happy to learn that there would be more Northbridge Nuptials because there are some more Pratt and Perry siblings and cousins that have yet had their own love stories told. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

Hometown Cinderella is the seventh book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
The heroine, Eden Perry, has finally returned to Northbridge since her graduation from high school and still she felt like an ugly duckling when she first stepped into town. Yet her gorgeous transformation impressed her small-town neighbors and not to mention her long-ago crush Cameron Pratt, who is the hero of the novel. And as luck would have it, Cam’s dark good looks had only improved with age and has Eden very attracted to him even though she doesn't want to be. Now forced to work with him on a local investigation, Eden couldn’t slow her racing pulse or control her sweaty palms. But as the intimacy between them grew, could the way she looked on the outside conquer the fears of the vulnerable teenager living inside? I know she can because she is one strong woman who has grown much since she left Northbridge but has to face her past in order to finally be the woman that she really is inside. Cam is the sort of man to help her and to over come his own issues that he has that will help them both be one amazing couple together. I loved the novel and I was happy to find that there were going to be more Northbridge Nuptials series books because there are a lot of Pratt and Perry siblings and relatives that have their own love stories to be told. It Takes a Family is the sixth book in the series but it is a good book that I don't feel as if I missed all that much by not being able to read the first five book in the series.
In this novel we meet the hero Luke Walker, a small-town cop, who smelled trouble the moment Karis Pratt, the heroine, arrived on his doorstep claiming the baby girl that she held in her arms was his daughter. But Luke was unconvinced because he had been devasted once before when Karis's sister left town with the daughter she confessed wasn't his. Although his mind and his heart had every reason to be skeptical, Luke soon realized that Karis was nothing like her outragously impulsive sister. From birth, the little girl who could be his daughter had gripped his heart in her tiny fist and wouldn’t let go, but was it possible that these two females could ultimately be his…to have and to hold? Well I know they can because they have spent much time together and have fallen in love with one another even though their was much hurt feelings and past issues holding them both back. Like I've mentioned before I love novels that involve children and I especially love babies because they are so wonderfully cute and Luke's little girl is one amazing child that helped bring Karis and Luke together. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

It is one line of novels that I have come to love to read and the author that I'm reviewing today is one of my favorites authors. She writes both for Harlequin Blaze and Silhouette Special Edition, which is another line that I've read and reviewed often on the blog. Crystal Green is an amazing author and this book isn't really apart of a series, which I've named Vampire Bite, but it is the sequel to the first book The Ultimate Bite that I reviewed. The hero, Edward Marburn, of this novel we read about a bit in The Ultimate Bite which was Stephen's story. Edward is a vampire—for the second time and he’s also desperate to be human again, and has vowed vengeance on his creator, Gisele. Now he’s on the hunt for her. And Edward always traps his quarry but he doesn’t remember this particularly luscious quarry being so sensual. Gisele has a hold on his thoughts, his imagination and his very willing body so he’s powerless to resist her.
The tables are turned—the hunter is caught, yet despite the supercharged sex, Edward still longs to regain his humanity. And that can happen only if he kills the one who made him—Gisele. So this story wasn't what I expected and at times I didn't like what was going on between Edward and Gisele. I also felt like putting this book down and start reading something else but I'm the type of person that likes to finish what I start no matter what. So I read through the parts that I didn't like much and in the end I liked the way the novel ended because it didn't leave me empty or unsatisfied like some books have done. Over all it was an okay novel and some of my curiosity from the last book was satisfied. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
GOOD TO THE LAST BITE $ 4.99 (Book 2)(217 Pages)

Crystal Green is an amazing author and this book isn't really apart of a series, which I've named Vampire Bite, but it has secondary characters that have their own book. Kim Wright, the heroine, was seduced by a mysterious stranger one dark and wild night that changed her forever. He did wicked things to her, things to her to her that she'd never dared dream of and he even bit her. And by doing so he transformed Kim from an inexperienced mouse to a sinfully sexy woman, a woman who craved more of what only Stephen could give her.
Now, a year later, Kim has finally found Stephen again and she still wants him, desperately. But Stephen’s not like other men because he can’t get attached to any one woman for the sake of both their lives. Still, he can’t resist sinking his teeth into Kim just one more time but it's too bad Kim’s not going to let Stephen get way that easily. Kim and Stephen have a pass experience with one another that both of them can't forget and when they finally see one another again things are never going to be the same. Stephen is a vampire who has loved and lost before and he's afraid of what Kim could mean to him if he let's her in his life. They both go through so much and I loved every minute of it and was a bit surprised and excited about the ending of the novel. I have to say that I was happy that their would be another book about one secondary character that really got to me in the end. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

The heroine, Jenny Hunter, of this novel we read a bit about in the first and second book but we didn't know much about her until this novel. The hero, Liam McCree, of this novel we also read a bit about in the first and second book too but we didn't know much about him until this novel.
Jenny Hunter is a go-getter business woman who was used to living life on her own terms, and there was little the beautiful, brainy blonde could conquer. But with her career skyrocketing, she’s decided to put love on the back burner—except for a little innocent flirtation with a hunky loner at her neighborhood Laundromat. Jenny is also going through an unexpected health crisis that has left her feeling very insecure of herself but Liam loves her and wants to be there for her no matter what. Although Liam McCree had nursed a crush on Jenny for months, the wannabe Web entrepreneur was convinced he was no match for the woman of his dreams. But Jenny doesn't know about Liam's strong feelings for her and she is unsure of her budding feels for Liam. This novel was definitely more emotional than the last three official Suds Club books but I had a hard time getting through this novel because of all these emotions that Jenny and Liam were going through. It was a great novel that I enjoyed at times and I can recommend to anyone who likes a good cry because I did at one point. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
FALLING FOR THE LONE WOLF $ 4.99 (Book 4)(217 Pages)

PRESCRIPTION: LOVE

Go-getter business woman Jenny Hunter was used to living life on her own terms, and there was little the beautiful, brainy blonde could conquer. But with her career skyrocketing, she’s decided to put love on the back burner—except for a little innocent flirtation with a hunky loner at her neighborhood Laundromat.

Although Liam McCree had nursed a crush on Jenny for months, the wannabe Web entrepreneur was convinced he was no match for the woman of his dreams. But when she faced an unexpected health crisis, Liam was there to boost Jenny’s spirits and send her heart rate soaring in the process. Would these two opposites find that love was truly the best medicine?

Silhouette Special Edition is a line of books that I have read and reviewed often on the blog. It is one line of novels that I have come to love to read and the author that I'm reviewing today is one of my favorites authors. She writes both for Silhouette Special Edition and Harlequin Blaze, which is another line that I've read and reviewed often on the blog. Crystal Green is an amazing author and this book is officially the second book in her The Suds Club series. The heroine, Mei Webb, of this novel we met in the first book but didn't get to know that well until now because the hero her estranged husband Travis Webb has come back home. Travis almost lost his family but now that he is home he is determined to be the family man Mei and their little girl need. It is also a growing family if Mei's burgeoning belly is any indications even though she's not sure if she should tell Travis about it because he may leave again on one of his firefighter missions.
Mei had never stopped loving Travis, but things had changed when he was off saving the world and now, more than ever, she needed him to be a full-time husband and father. She needed to know once and for all—was he in…or was he out? I have to say that Mei and Travis love story is one that I enjoyed very much because it was so different from what I have read before. I learned much about another culture because Mei's family weren't so happy that she married an American that they hadn't really accepted into the family yet. I love when children are involved in novels and Mei and Travis' little girl is no exception because she made the novel so much more fun to read. I loved this novel very much and I have to say that is one of my favorites of this wonderful series. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
THE SECOND-CHANCE GROOM $ 4.99 (Book 3)(216 Pages)

It is one line of novels that I have come to love to read and the author that I'm reviewing today is one of my favorites authors. She writes both for Silhouette Special Edition and Harlequin Blaze, which is another line that I've read and reviewed often on the blog. Crystal Green is an amazing author and this book is officially the first book in her The Suds Club series. I reviewed The Playboy takes a Wife, which was about the hero of this novel's older brother and he is mentioned in this novel once or twice too.
The hero David Chandler is a desperate man who has walked into the small-town Laundromat with his stainted shirt but it vanished from his mind as soon as he saw the beautiful woman at the center of the Suds Club. The heroine Naomi Shannon isn't looking for love since she is four months pregnant and memories of her failed relationship still stung. Little did she know her new friend Dave wasn’t the regular guy he seemed but is on the run from his life as a New York City captain of industry. David is a big-city tycoon in search of something to fill the void in his heart and meeting Naomi at the Laundromat has changed his life and he is wondering if he has finally found what he was looking for—or would the relationship come out ruined in the wash? I think that David and Naomi are made for one another and their story is one bumpy road of intrigue and it worth reading. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

Little did she know her new friend Dave wasn’t the regular guy he seemed. About Me

My Photo
Phoebe Jordan
I'm a part-time aspiring romance novelist, book reviewer and blogger. I've always wanted to travel the world and learn everything I can about other countries. Learning the Italian language is one way of trying to make that dream come true. Traveling will help me with my writing because I'll be learning about the history of the U.S., Latin America, England, Italy, and Ireland, the countries I find so fascinating while reading the romance genre.

I read and review romance novels of almost every subgenre along with erotic romance, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and young adult novels. You can find the reviews at my blogs, Talk About My Favorite Authors and Phoebe Jordan's Reviews. I’ve also started a live podcast show called TAMFA | Phoebe Jordan hosted on Blog Talk Radio. This show is dedicated to everything I love about romance and young adult novels. I love having romance and young adult authors live on my show to be interviewed and showcase their books.

I plan to write contemporary romance, romantic suspense, erotic romance, paranormal romance and young adult when I get my writing career started with help from Keta. I'm not sure what genre I'll write to begin with since I love to read so many different romance genres.
