I've been hearing so much of this author Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series. I heard that it was so good that there is even a movie coming out about the book. Well I said to myself the other day that I should give this series a try and find out what all the talk is about. Well I am so glad that I bought the series because I'm hooked. The series is considered Young Adult but I think that it is also good for adults too because even though its about 17 year olds in high school everyone was that age at one point in their lives and could relate some how even though we probably weren't surround with vampires and werewolfs and such. That would be exciting and scary at the same time if it had ever happened to me in high school because it would have made my high school experience so much more better. So it's almost a two weeks before the world wide release of the movie version of this amazing and much acclaimed book Twilight. I can't wait for it to be released already!
I've heard so many gossips about this last book in the Twilight series that had me a bit concerned about what was going to happen in this novel. I heard about Bella becoming pregnant with a baby that is dangerously going to eat her from the inside and that she was going to get an abortion. I heard that people were telling others to boycott the novel and not buy it because Meyer was condoning abortion, which sounded ridiculous to me. I payed no attention to this nonsense because all that does is spoil your enjoyment of the novel before you even begin and I know that some people are spoiler happy and never even read the book because they think they know everything that happens already. I'm telling you that read it anyway because you are not getting everything just by reading spoilers about the book especially since everyone has their own point of view on what they read in the novel. Like for me Breaking Dawn was my favorite of all the Twilight novels because it had everything that I like in a novel such as, more than one point of view in the story, it had action and suspense that kept me thinking and kept me turning the pages to find out what happens next and it answered so many questions that I was having from reading the first three novels.
I loved reading the novel so much that I was really sad that it had to end with a The End page all by itself. I had so many questions about what Bella and Edward's life would be like with their daughter Nessie and Jacob. I totally think that Meyer should take some time and consider writing up another novel but about Jacob and Nessie because they are one interesting couple and I think that their could be more to Bella and Edward's love story now that they are both vampires. I also know that it may never happen especially since Meyer is writing Edward's point of view of Bella's Twilight in a novel called Midnight Sun, which as many of you know was spoiled for everyone when someone posted an illegal draft of the novel. I don't know if I will be reading this novel not because of the spoiler because I haven't read a single word of it but because it would be like reading Twilight again even thought we will be reading it in Edward's point of view. This was one interesting novel that I had a good time reading and can now understand all the Twilight addiction going on that kind of reminds me of how everyone was so in the Harry Potter series a couple of years ago. I'm definitely excited about the movie and I hope that it won't be the last because I think that the other three books in the series, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, could be turned into some amazing movies just like I know the movie Twilight will be amazing but not as good as the novel. Here are the descriptions of the books from the back cover and cover flaps and pictures:
BREAKING DAWN $ 22.99 (Book 4)(754 Pages)
“Don’t be afraid,” I murmured. “We belong together.”
I was overwhelmed by the truth of my own words. This moment was so perfect, so right, there was no way to doubt it. His arms wrapped around me, holding me against him…. If felt like every nerve ending in my body was a live wire. “Forever,” he agreed. WHEN YOU LOVED THE ONE WHO WAS KILLING YOU, IT LEFT YOU NO OPTIONS. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved? TO BE IRREVOCABLY IN LOVE WITH A VAMPIRE is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to a werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fate of two tribes hangs.
NOW THAT BELLA HAS MADE HER DECISION, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating and unfathomable consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella’s life—first discovered in Twilight, then scattered and torn in New Moon and Eclipse—seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed…forever?

After reading Twilight and New Moon I didn't know what other kind of dangerous trouble that Bella could get into next. Eclipse was a very interesting book to read because it remined me a bit of the limiting perspective of the characters when reading a book in the first person. I thought it was also very limited when I was reading Twilight and New Moon too but I guess it finally got to me when I started reading Eclipse. I wished to myself that if only Meyer could write about what was going on with both Edward and Jacob besides what Bella is seeing or hearing or feeling. I felt so sad for Jacob when I was reading this novel because he is suffering so much. Bella felt for the pain that he is feeling but she was the major cause for the pain period of his life. I was totally on Jacob's side in this book too but I began to notice that Edward is so much more mature than Jacob. I also finally see that maybe Edward is someone that I think might be what Bella needs in a love mate. Jacob is only a 16/17 year old even though he has grown physcially to be in his mid-to-late twenties while Edward has matured after living for almost more than 100 years.

It was very exciting to read this novel because there where a couple of issues that were left unsolved in the last two books that I really wanted to know about. There was also a lot of cool legends that were told in this story that I really enjoyed reading because it helped explain a lot to me that I was curious about. I finally got the end and I wanted to know more because Bella and Edward were on their way to becoming married and then Bella was going to be an vampire immortal. I also couldn't wait to get into the last book in the series Breaking Dawn because I heard so much gossip about it and I wanted to know what all the fuss is about. This was one interesting novel that I had a good time reading and can now understand all the Twilight addiction going on that kind of reminds me of how everyone was so in the Harry Potter series a couple of years ago. ECLIPSE $ 19.99 (Book 3)(629 Pages)
In the dead silence, all the details suddenly fell into place for me with a burst of intuition. Something Edward didn’t want me to know. Something that Jacob wouldn’t have kept from me. Something that had the Cullens and the wolves both in the woods moving in hazardous proximity to each other…. Something I’d been waiting for anyway. Something I knew would happen again, as much as I might wish it never would. It was never going to end, was it? “BELLA?” Edward’s soft voice came from behind me. I turned to see him spring lightly up the porch steps, his hair windblown from running. He pulled me into his arms at once, just like he had in the parking lot, and kissed me again. This kiss frightened me. There was too much tension, too strong an edge to the way his lips crushed mine—like he was afraid we had only so much time left to us.
AS SEATTLE IS RAVAGED BY A STRING OF mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob—knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

Following Twilight I thought that New Moon was an amazing novel that had me captivated from the beginining. Bella and Edward are finally happily together and have a some what normal routine that they have. They have recovered a bit from the dangerous and horrible drama that happened with James and are happily dating each other with Charlie trying to accept their relationship with each other. Then every thing changes for them in one moment on Bella's 18th Birthday, which will lead to a period in Bella's life that wasn't written about. Now Bella has to experience life without Edward at her side and she has some very horribly depressing months that she has to deal with that upsets all of her friends and family. But then comes the light at the end of the long and horrible tunnel that brings her back to life in the form of her childhood friend Jacob Black. He is the life line that takes her out of a depression that was sucking the good life she had before Edward left. Bella and Jacob form a very strong bond that I was rooting for to work out because I have a particular attachment to the werewolves that I do the vampires.
I thought that Bella would have been happier with a normal life with Jacob instead of Edward. that doesn't mena that I don't like Edward because I do but sometimes I feel that Edward isn't the right man for Bella. I guess it's because of their intense and passionate love that I read in Twilight that has me confused and judgemental about Bella and Edward's relationship. I did begin to understand the love that Edward and Bella have with one another, even though it is kinda hard to understand how an 18-year-old can feel such an intense love for this one person without having any past romantic boyfriend experience to compare it to. I think if she had any romantic experience besides Edward would make her decisions so much more easier to make. As I said before I think that Bella should have given Jacob's romantic advances more serious consideration. All in all the book was very good and it just made me want more Twilight with Bella, Edward, Jacob, Charlie, the entire Cullen family, the werewolf pack and their families.
NEW MOON $ 19.99 (Book 2)(563 Pages)
I knew we were both in mortal danger. Still, in that instant, I felt well. Whole. I could feel my heart racing in my chest, the blood pulsing hot and fast through my veins again. My lungs filled deep with the sweet scent that came off his skin. It was like there had never been a hole in my chest. I was perfect—not healed, but as if there had never been a wound in the first place. I FELT LIKE I WAS TRAPPED IN ON OF THOSE TERRIFYING NIGHMARES, the one where you have to run, run till your lungs burst, but you can’t make your body move fast enough…. But this was no dream, and, unlike the nightmare, I wasn’t running for my life; I was racing to save something infinitely more precious. My own life meant little to me today.
FOR BELLA SWAN, THERE IS ONE THING more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning….

After I started reading the book I didn't necessaryly get into it until I was almost half way into the story. I've never really read any Young Adult even though that is what I supposedly should be reading since I'm 19 years old but I've never been interested before. Since I was 11 years old adult fiction such and romance and mystery have always held my interest and I have many books that I've read over the years that have something that this book doesn't have. I guess I've always been very mature for my age and I've always gotten that kind of response when I've talked to people outside of my family and friends. But that doesn't mean that by the time I was finished with the book that I didn't enjoy it very much because it definitely got me hooked for life. I thought that the intense and powerful love that Bella and Edward had in this book was way to fast for me and I didn't really get how they could have fallen in love and would be willing to die for one another or die without one another. This is something that I have a hard time understanding even though I've read many romance novels but those have a different feeling than this kind of romance between Edward and Bella for some reason that I haven't yet to understand.
I have mentioned probably more than once that I love paranormal novels very much because of all of the mythical and legendary creatures that are involved that every author has a different way of interpreting. Like Meyers has written her vampires as creatures that drink blood, have super human strength, super fast reflexes, super hearing and smell and can go out into the sunlight but they will glitter if they do which attracts unwanted attention. This was one interesting novel that I had a good time reading and can now understand all the Twilight addiction going on that kind of reminds me of how everyone was so in the Harry Potter series a couple of years ago. TWILIGHT $ 10.99 (Book 1)(498 Pages)
About three things I was absolutely positive:
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him—and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be–that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
“I’D NEVER GIVEN MUCH THOUGHT TO HOW I WOULD DIE—I’d had reason enough in the last few months—but even if I had, I would not have imagined it like this.... Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of something else, someone I loved. Noble even. That ought to count for something.”
When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy town of Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret. What Bella doesn’t realize is the closer she gets to him, the more she is putting herself and those around her at risk. And, it might be too late to turn back....
