Laure Marie Altom's is an amazing Harlequin American Romance author and I've read a couple of her books that made me want more. This book is part of Harlequin American Romance's The State of Parenthood miniseries and it one on of the many books in the series that I've read an enjoyed. I have a weak spot for romance novels that have children in the plot because I've always found that they make the novels so fun and exciting to read. The heroine, Jess Cummings, is a widowed mother of two daughters and she owns a large ranch that caters to horses but she has been having trouble maintaining the ranch since her husbands death. When six feet of tall, lean cowboy rides up kicking just, Jess thinks a holiday miracle has arrived. Not only does he help with an injured colt, Gage Moore, the hero, hires on to work her ranch because her parents and the local vet doctor pay for his month salary already. The handsome, trustworthy Texan is everything Jess could want in an employee but is the ex-rodeo star too good to be true? That may be the case because Gage came to Oklahoma haunted by a saddle load of grief but he’ll help Jess get the ranch in shape by Christmas, then be on his way.
After all, the job was always meant to be temporary but how can he leave now that the hardworking single mom has given him a reason to stay? And if he does, can he be the husband and father Jess and her daughters need? That is what both Jess and Gage need to decide because it is something they both need to decide especially since the girls are coming to really love Gage even though her oldest daughter Lexie has been giving Gage trouble. Jess's youngest Angela loves Gage from almost the begining but Lexie being the oldest and loving her father more doesn't want Gage in her or her mother's life and replacing her father. I really enjoyed the intraction between Jess and Gage because they have a chemistry very powerful from the very beginning but also the intraction between Gage and Lexie is also very fun and wonderful to read because they like one another deep down even though in the beginning they fight like cats and dogs. The ending was the best part because it left me content that they have a wonderful family that is now happy even though they had a few very rough patches on long the way. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:

I love the Harlequin American Romance line because it is always fun to read about all the romance that goes in differents states around America. Tanya Michaels is a new author to me but after reading this novel I know it's not going to be the last. I love novels with twins in them because they are always a handful and trouble some so they make such interesting characters in a novel. The heroine MacKenzie "Kenzie" Green is the mother of faternal twins Drew and Leslie and is divorced from her muscian of a husband Mick Green. Kenzie and her twins relocate to Atlanta, which is where her younger sister Ann with her husband and child also live, because she got a better paying job and a wonderful house to live in. The hero Jonathan Trelauney is her neighbor across the hall of her temporary apartment and he is a widowed painter who has been in a creative slump ever since he lost his wife and unborn child. I thought that Kenzie and Jonathan made a curious pair together but as I read further into the novel I saw that they both are compatiable with one another. I also thought that Kenzie's twins were such amazing characters that really brought out something special in both Kenzie and Jonathan and I loved the ending very much. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
A DAD FOR HER TWINS $ 4.99 (219 Pages)

New Job. New Home. New Dad?

Kenzie’s twin son and daughter are shattering his peace…and JT loves every minute of it! They’re slowly but surely bringing him out of his reclusive shell. Now he’d like to do the same for their independent single mom. Can JT make Kenzie see that he’s a man she can count on? That he can be the husband and father her family needs?

I love my Harlequin American Romance series line because they are all amazing reads. I won this autographed copy of Victoria Chancellor's An Honorable Texan in a contest. I'm a bit sad that it is the third book in her Brody Crossing series but I have to say that I enjoyed it very much. I think that Christie Simmons and her son are exactly what Cal Crawford need in his life right now because even though Christie didn't tell Cal about their son right away she did tell him when he came back to his home town. Christie and Cal have a lot to talk about with their relationship together and with their son. I think that their courtship with each other again is going to have it's set backs because they are getting to know each other for the first time after their brief relationship before he left. I really liked that they overcame their differences and their fears to understand that they were meant for each other and to make a life together and with their son. Here is the decription of the book from the back cover and picture:
AN HONORABLE TEXAN $ 4.99 (Book 3)(215 Pages)
Baby Changes Everything!
Christie Simmons left Fort Worth behind for good reasons. A new life in Brody’s Crossing means her son can know his father. Christie and Cal Crawford had a brief affair before he left to go overseas, and she’s sure that finding out about the baby wasn’t the homecoming he imagined….
Everything in Cal’s life is upside down, starting with the fact that his cattle ranch, the Rocking C, is raising everything except cows. Now he’s discovering there’s a lot more to being a dad than just fathering a child. But as a man who believes in tradition, can Cal change everything about his life? More important, will Christie—a woman he’s growing closer to every day—be there if he doesn’t?

I've written about authors who write for the Harlequin American Romance line and so I have recently won a contest where I won two autographed books by one of my favorite Harlequin American Romance authors. I love to read the Harlequin American Romance line of books and Kara Lennox is one of the authors that I love reading from that line of books. I love her books even though I've only be able to read and buy a couple of her most recent releases. I picked out two of her older out of print novels because they sounded interesting and I've never had the opportunity to read them.
Today I'll be reviewing The Forgotten Cowboy the first autographed book I picked out by Kara Lennox. I picked it out because the blurb on her website really captured my attention and once I started reading it I knew I made the right choice. The heroine Willow Marsden has recently been in a near fatal car accident that gives her a form of amnesia that prevents her from recognizing faces. That is a very hard thing for Willow because she is only a few weeks from going of to medical school and her amnesia for remembering faces is not something she wants right now because it can ruin her chances at becoming a doctor. Now her former high school boyfriend Cal Chandler comes back into her life and she can't even remember his face even though she figures out that the new man in her life is Cal.
They have a very rocky relationship and even though they separated from each other on very bad terms they haven't stopped loving each other. I loved reading this novel because it is a bit different from her newer novels and it shows me how Kara has grown as a writer in a very positive way. Some of the books are probably out of print except for her most recent release, so you'll probably going to have to search used book stores if you want to find the books in this series. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
THE FORGOTTEN COWBOY $ 4.99 (250 Pages)
Follow Your Heart…
After a near-fatal car accident, Willow Marsden discovers she has a form of amnesia that prevents her from recognizing faces, including those of friends, family—even her own. Adding to her shock is that the new man in her life is none other than her former high school boyfriend, Cal Chandler, whom she blames for derailing her young dreams….
But soon they find themselves wrapped up in each other’s lives again and Willow’s heart has trouble remember all the reasons she and Cal split in the first place. Because their new—and more mature—relationship is giving them a second chance at a once-in-a-lifetime love.

For him, “marriage” equaled “mistake.” Diane might be the quintessential forever kind of woman, but he was confident he could avoid that trap. That is, until he kissed her. I love to read the Harlequin American Romance line of books and Laura Marie Altom is one of the authors that I love reading from that line of books. I love her books even though I've only read and bought 4 of her most recent books I've loved reading the. Her most recent one called Three Boys and a Baby is my favorite of the all. It was such a good book that I told all my book loving friends that they had to get it and read it right away. I also loved the Three Men and a Baby movie, which Ms. Altom wrote inspired the book, and it did remind me of it when I was reading the book. Some of the books are probably out of print except for her most recent release Three Boys and a Baby, so you'll probably going to have to search used book stores if you want to find the books. Here are the descriptions of the 4 books from the back covers and pictures:
