I've read all of Janet Chapman's novel and I love each and every one of them very much. They all are in some part of Maine because Janet is a Maine Romance writer and that doesn't affect her novels it makes them such a joy to read. This is the first book in Janet Chapman's new series called Sinclair Brothers and I'm very excited about reading the next two books in this series because I loved reading this first one. The hero obviously is a Sinclair and he is also the oldest of the three brothers that make up the Sinclair family besides their grandfather. When Sam Sinclair’s self-made millionaire grandfather sends Willa Kent, a woman none of the three Sinclair brothers have even heard of, as his proxy to an ultra-important meeting of the Sinclair shipping company, most people would think the old man had lost his marbles. The three brothers are the only family that their grandfather has and vice versa so they are very anxious to find out who their grandfather will chose to run the company but Willa Kent is a surprise they didn't expect.
But Sam knows his grandfather too well and for some reason, the wily old man has decided that one of his three grandsons should marry Willa, and this is his way of trying to force the issue. So Willa and Sam team up on what seems like a wild-goose chase to find some loophole in Grandfather Sinclair’s crazy notion. It was sad that his grandfather died so soon in the novel because I would have loved to have read more about him alive even though there were pretty funny things said about him throughout the novel. But as Sam crews Willa’s yacht en route to Maine, he finds to his surprise that his grandfather’s offbeat scheme is growing more attractive by the moment. Willa is smart, beautiful…and has a wild streak that sends them soaring together above the clouds. But Willa isn’t about to let Sam fly away with her heart until she knows his true motives. If the man wants to marry for money, the woman in her says that first he must fall in love and in love they are with one another before I finished this novel.
Sam and Willa are such complex characters that have lived totally different lives and have their own outlooks on life that are very different. The make such a wonderful couple and I was glad to see that everything worked out for them in the end but the ending also peaked my interest because I could see that next book would be interesting. The second book would be for the middle brother Sinclair and he already had his own woman problems to deal with that was hinted at the end of the first novel. I love Janet Chapman. I stumbled upon her books on a routine trip to Barnes & Noble that I take looking for new books to buy. She is an amazing Maine Romance Writer and I love her Highlander Series. I recommend for romance readers to pick up Janet Chapman's books especially her Highlander Series, which has magic and time travel involved. I enjoyed this novel very much because the heroine Megan MacKeage and the hero Jack Stone are such amazing and intriguing characters that have such opposite views on how things are done. Megan is one of the seven daughters of Grace and Grelyen MacKeage and she's five months pregnant with a broken heart. Jack Stone is the new Chief of Police and when Megan sees him for the first time he is the man she knew as Wayne Farris the father of her child and the man who broke her heart. In this novel you meet such amazing characters and sometimes that is hard to find in novels but luckily it hasn't happened to me often.
Megan and Jack are such strong and independent characters and it is such a pleasure reading about all the situations that they have to go through in order to finally realize they love one another and are meant for each other. Megan and Jack learn a lot about each other because even though they fell in love they never really knew one another as they will throughout this novel. In this novel you see other relationships develop and you also read about the MacKeage's from the previous two novels, such as Matt's younger brother Kenzie and a friend of his that has a small part in this novel. Megan and Jack have a very interesting courtship that made me fall in love with them and in fact made me want to read more about these time-traveling highlanders that were dropped in the 21st century to complete their destiny. At the end of this book I got the feeling that Matt's brother Kenzie Gregor will have his own story and maybe be part of a new series that Janet Chapman may have in the works. I love Janet Chapman. I stumbled upon her books on a routine trip to Barnes & Noble that I take looking for new books to buy. She is an amazing Maine Romance Writer and I love her Highlander Series. I recommend for romance readers to pick up Janet Chapman's books especially her Highlander Series, which has magic and time travel involved. I enjoyed this novel very much because the heroine Winter MacKeage and the hero Matt Gregor are such amazing and intriguing characters that have such opposite views on how things are done. Winter is the seventh daughter of the seventh daughter and she is destined to be the next powerful druid. She is the reason Grelyen MacKeage was taken from the past and dumped into the future to meet and fall in love with Grace Stutter. Matt is a wealthy stranger that has interests in making a home in the newly bought land near Winter's own home. He is very interested in Winter and has a secret that will very well shock and amaze all of the MacKeage and MacBain family members. In this novel you meet such amazing characters and sometimes that is hard to find in novels but luckily it hasn't happened to me often.
Winter and Matt are such strong and independent characters and it is such a pleasure reading about all the situations that they have to go through in order to finally realize they love one another and are meant for each other. Winter and Matt learn a lot about each other and the fate of the world in this novel that has been hinted since the beginning of the series. In this novel you see other relationships develope and you also read about the MacKeage's from the previous two novels. Winter and Matt have a very interesting courtship that made me fall in love with them and in fact made me want to read more about these time-traveling highlanders that were dropped in the 21st century to complete their destiny. Robbie is the son of highlander Michael MacBain and the guardian of the MacKeage and MacBain family. He is also a foster parent of several youthful boys who have seen too much and get into too much trouble that may cost them a some time in juvie or worse jail when they're older. In this novel you meet such amazing characters and sometimes that is hard to find in novels but luckily it hasn't happened to me often.
Catherine and Robbie are such strong and independent characters and it is such a pleasure reading about all the situations that they have to go through in order to finally realize they love one another and are meant for each other. On top of that I love Robbie's foster boys and Catherine's two children because they keep things interesting between Robbie and Catherine. Catherine also gets to understand the real Robbie and his guardian duties in a time-travel to the past. In this novel you see other relationships develope and you also read about the MacKeage's from the previous two novels. Catherine and Robbie have a very interesting courtship that made me fall in love with them and in fact made me want to read more about these time-traveling highlanders and their family that were dropped in the 21st century to complete their destiny. I love Janet Chapman. I stumbled upon her books on a routine trip to Barnes & Noble that I take looking for new books to buy. She is an amazing Maine Romance Writer and I love her Highlander Series. I recommend for romance readers to pick up Janet Chapman's books especially her Highlander Series, which has magic and time travel involved. I enjoyed this novel very much because the heroine Libby Hart and the hero Michael MacBain are such amazing and intriguing characters that have such opposite views on how things are done. Libby is a doctor running away from her special healing abilities that she didn't intend to use on a patient of a collegue but did and is wanted to explain how the child miraculously saved the child. Michael is a highland warrior from the 1200 century who was dropped into the 21st century in a freak thunder storm with Grelyen MacKeage and 4 other MacKeages and 4 of his MacBain clansman. In this novel you meet such amazing characters and sometimes that is hard to find in novels but luckily it hasn't happened to me often.
Libby and Michael are such strong and independent characters and it is such a pleasure reading about all the situations that they have to go through in order to finally realize they love one another and are meant for each other. On top of that I love Michael's eight-year-old son Robbie MacBain, who in the first novel was just a new born baby. Robbie is a Guardian even though he is a child and it is wonderful to see that he takes his duty so seriously at such a young age. I also love that Robbie wants to see his father happy with Libby and has no bitterness that his mother is gone and that Libby might want to replace that spot in his heart. In this novel you see other relationships develope and you also read about the MacKeage's from the previous two novels. Libby and Michael have a very interesting courtship that made me fall in love with them and in fact made me want to read more about these time-traveling highlanders that were dropped in the 21st century to complete their destiny. I love Janet Chapman and when I stumbled upon her books on one of my many trip to Barnes & Noble that I take looking for new books to buy I knew she would be good. She is an amazing Maine Romance Writer and I love her Highlander Series. I bought this book because I love highlanders and especially the time-traveling kind because they make very interesting novels. I enjoyed this novel very much because the heroine Grace Stutter and the hero Greylen MacKeage are such amazing and intriguing characters that have such opposite views on how things are done. Grace is a scientist while Greylen is a highland warrior from the 1200 century who was dropped into the 21st century in a freak thunder storm. In this novel you meet such amazing characters and sometimes that is hard to find in novels but luckily it hasn't happened to me often.
